If you have ever used working hands lotion, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever heard of a jokester playing tricks on people with ‘snake teeth’, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever eaten a peanut butter sandwich for 3 meals a day, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever eaten any type of meat, now called road kill, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever eaten a sweet vanilla cake filled with strawberries and buttercream icing, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever driven around just to remember the past and feel the wind blow through your hair, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever been to a sports game and sat in 100 degree weather to cheer on a child that is not even yours, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever walked 10 miles everyday, even if it is in circles, you know my Grandmama

If you have played a game of marbles or cards and been accused of cheating, you know my Grandmama

If you have woken up early to watch the Golden Girls or Annie on the television, you know my Grandmama

If you have ever sat in a Chik Fil A drive through for almost an hour just to get a chicken biscuit, you know my Grandmother

If you have built half of a house and been on a roof at the age of mid 50, you know my Grandmother

If you have ever picked cotton by hand, you know my Grandmama

If you have called 911 because your loved one didn’t pick up the phone on the 3rd ring and you think they are missing, you know my Grandmama

If you have seen a yellow butterfly with beautiful wings like an angel that will not seem to stop following you around, you have seen my Grandmama
